Seeing "The Artist's Way" on the list sealed it for me. I have had that book on my bookshelf since 2001 and always plan to get around to it. This is the push I needed. Just went and ordered all of the other books (most on sale on Amazon!) - and I'm ready to jump in. YAY!
There's Always This Year is my best book of 2024 so I'm thrilled to see this on your 2025 list. There are also several books in my TBR pile here. YAY! I'm excited to participate in book club with y'all this upcoming year.
Great variety of books! I am excited for SKS because I have been wanting to reread Under the Dome. I didn't love it years ago when I read it and am very curious to see my feelings now.
My first thought when I saw The Corrections was no way am I rereading that. I didn't like it when I first read it, although now I can't remember why but I do remember having a visceral reaction to it, and have stayed away from everything he's written since. You and I are about the same age, so maybe I read it too young to appreciate the family aspect of it. I'll read it again, because I know I've changed in the passing years. It will be interesting to see, and I'm trying to have an open mind.
The Bell Jar I also read young and I loved it. Haven't read it since my late teens. Again, it will be interesting to see how I process it as an adult.
I’m finding it so interesting to reread things in my 40s that I first read in my 20s (or younger). I don’t remember feeling super strongly about The Corrections at all (but do remember well how I felt about the Oprah controversy), but I read his novel Freedom in my 30s and loved it.
There's Always This Year is on kindle sale today (12/20) if you want to snag it before we read it together in March! https://amzn.to/49OyVs2

Oh I’m so glad to hear that about There’s Always This Year. So many people I trust are raving about it. Should be a great discussion.
Cannot wait! I own multiple of these and they are sitting on my TBR!
Yay!!
So excited for these!! Now off to place holds at the library
Woo Hoo!

I’ve never read it so I am very curious to try and understand why King thinks it’s the best book he’s written in the last 25 years.

This is such a great lineup! Can’t wait!
I’m so excited!
I’m so looking forward to this list! I’ve only read three of them and not recently so even those will be good to revisit.
